  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb (300g), ground beef (200g), grated onion (100g), minced garlic (5g), chopped parsley (20g), ground cumin (5g), ground coriander (5g), ground paprika (5g), and ground cinnamon (1g)

Tips for Authentic Kofta Kebab

  • Use lamb for authentic flavour: Lamb is traditional in kofta kebabs and gives a rich, flavourful result, though beef can be used as an alternative.

  • Grill for extra smokiness: If possible, grill the kebabs over charcoal to give them a smoky flavour that enhances the dish.

  • Do not overwork the mixture: Overmixing the meat can make the kebabs tough, so mix just enough to combine the ingredients.

  • Serve with sides: Kofta kebabs pair well with flatbreads, rice, or a refreshing cucumber and tomato salad.
